Crockpot Easter Clusters

Welcome to Ms. Nicolette's Pantry! So happy to have you here and in the kitchen with your kiddo adding something new to your lifestyle.

I have hand-picked recipes and activities that are easy for you to create at home with the help of your children. Based on their age you can decide which tasks they can help you with, and which ones they should let an adult do. Make this a learning experience for you both - let your child explore the baking/cooking process and explain each item, ingredient, and step to them, and watch how your child interacts!

This year seems to be flying by - its already April! With Easter, Earth Day, the Week of the Young Child, and so much more, its hard to pick just one thing to feature this month. But this recipe is so easy and foolproof, I couldn't pass it up. This recipe works well for just about any time of year, and it is easily customized!

Tools Needed:

  • Crockpot

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Parchment paper

  • Spatula

Ingredients:

  • 2 24-ounce blocks white almond bark

  • 24 ounces roasted peanuts

  • 1 1/2 cups pastel M&Ms

  • 1 1/2 cups colored marshmallows

  • Easter sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add both blocks of the almond bark and peanuts into the crockpot.

  2. Cover with the lid and allow to cook on LOW for two to three hours, stirring often.

  3. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to come to room temperature. It should not harden but should be cool enough not to melt the other ingredients.

  4. Add in the pastel M&Ms and colored marshmallows and stir gently until just combined.

  5. Scoop out onto parchment paper by heaping Tablespoon. Tip: a cookie or ice cream scoop would also work well for scooping!

  6. Top with Easter sprinkles, if using.

  7. Allow to cool and set completely. Tip: if you are trying to taste them quickly, pop them in the freezer for about five minutes to set up faster!

  8. Enjoy and have fun!

NOTES:

  • If you'd like, you could use chocolate almond bark in place of the white.

  • Feel free to add in other goodies or switch it up if you so choose (i.e. chocolate chips, different colored M&Ms, regular marshmallows, etc.)

  • These will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.

  • Remember to have fun and ENJOY!
